Yes without Salo, the D is pretty weak after you get past the names you mentioned. They need anothter tough D-man that can play top four minutes. I feel the Canucks need to add someone tougher then Hemsky. They have enough soft players. See you're still at bleacherreport.com, good to hear from you.

Hey Larry it is scary how skinny things have gotten on defense for vancouver. Edler, Bieksa, Hamhuis and then a whole lot of nothing. With things as tight cap wise as they are for Vancouver you have to think there is someone better out there than Keith Ballard. That said he doesn't seem to be the most tradeable commodity.
I'm certainly in love with the idea of Manny Malhotra the remade defensive center who is a bear in the face-off circle. Hate to hear he hasn't made the full recovery from the eye injury. David Booth seems to be another guy with potential but limited by injury . I've always been a big Hemsky fan. Just don't know if he can stay healthy either. Every time he's hurt there seems to be a long time coming back to where he can play all out again. Then he gets hurt. The Canucks will have a heck of a time rearranging their line-up.

Yeh, I agree with you John. Getting out and watching them course manage is good insight for the fan. Also watching their swing technique, one can pick up some pointers.

I have found that the best way to watch golf is on TV. =) In all seriousness though, it is nice to get out and check out the golf earlier in the day before the crowds take over. Just watching how they conduct their business is an eye opener. I was able to get out and see the U.S. Senior Open Championship at Sahalee last year, man, can those guys still play. Couples made a run in his home town, but Bernhard Langer ended up taking it. Good times.
